SCALE is an ambitious project aimed at scaling up the deployment of mature C-ITS services and supporting the technical development and large-scale impact assessments of new C-ITS use cases at 12 representative European pilot and operational sites.
To address the persistent problems and challenges hindering the industrialisation of the ecosystem in Europe, the project will establish the appropriate incentives to drive the transition towards this new generation of road transport and mobility services, thereby helping to ensure European leadership in this field.
Building on previous successful projects, the activities relating to use cases will be twofold: firstly, the project will address the scaling up and industrialisation of the most mature use cases that have already been developed; and secondly, the project will develop, implement and evaluate new use cases centred on specific topics of common European interest.
