Internationalisation

We are members of, and work closely with, the leading international ITS associations, notably ITS-Europe, ITS Nationals (the global ITS organisation) and ITS Ibero-America. This enables us to act as an international showcase for our members, as well as to forge relationships and organise meetings and events in specific countries.

Letter from the President

Dear members, partners and industry professionals:

It is a true honour to address you as the new president of ITS España. I would like to begin this new chapter by expressing my sincere gratitude for the trust placed in me and in the team working alongside me. We take on this responsibility with enthusiasm, commitment and a deep awareness of the strategic role that Intelligent Transport Systems play in the mobility of the future.

We are at a pivotal moment for the sector: digitalisation, sustainability and connectivity are transforming the way we travel, manage infrastructure and design our cities and roads. ITS España must continue to be a leading force in this process, a hub for knowledge, innovation and collaboration between public authorities, businesses, research centres and professionals.

I am delighted to introduce some of the new management team who will be joining me in this new phase as vice-presidents:

  • Ana Blanco, Deputy Assistant Director at the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT)
  • Marta Alonso, Director-General for Traffic Management and Surveillance at Madrid City Council
  • Manuel Moreno, former Coordinator of the Andalusian Transport Consortia Network and President of ITS Andalucía.

Together, with the invaluable help of Vicente Gallego Muñoz and Jaime Huerta, we will work to strengthen ITS España’s role as a catalyst for technological solutions that improve the efficiency, safety and sustainability of transport in our country. We will continue to be a leading provider of training and a hub for the exchange of best practice, whilst promoting participation in international networks.

We know the challenges are ambitious, but we also know that we have a strong, committed community with extraordinary talent. We encourage you to get involved, to share ideas and to work together to strengthen the Spanish ITS ecosystem so that it can respond to the new challenges of mobility and enable us to become an international benchmark.

Thank you for your trust. We are embarking on this new phase with enthusiasm, a sense of responsibility and the firm conviction that, together, we can make a difference.

With my sincere thanks,

Soledad Pérez-Galdós Enríquez de Salamanca

President
